Relief as deadline for registration fees is extended

GOVERNMENT has extended the deadline for Ordinary and Advanced Level examination fees payment to May 17.

The relief has also given parents and guardians time to raise the funds.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister Torerayi Moyo said the deadline for the registration for the November 2024 Examinations.

The dates have been shifted to May 17, following a voice by legislators, guardians, and parents.

They were failing to meet the initial deadline by the Zimbabwe Schools Examination Council (Zimsec).

Some examination centres had set March 27, as the deadline.

“I can confirm that the Government has extended the deadline for payment of examination fees for Ordinary and Advanced Level examinations to May 17.

“Government is aware of some challenges that are being faced by parents in mobilising examination fees.

“This grace period will give them time to register for their children,” said Minister Moyo.
