Strongmen competition in Harare gathers momentum

Organisers of the upcoming Strongmen Truck Pull event set for April 13, in Harare are optimistic that everything is going according to the script.

This marks the return of Arnold ‘Oxman’ Zikhali who hogged the limelight with his prowess in pulling train wagons and buses.

The event will be held at a provisional venue to be announced soon.

“Athletes from Rwanda, Zambia, SA, DRC, and other African countries are coming for the biggest event.

“We have since secured the cars and trucks to be used on the day of the event.

“Tosh Car Rentals will be our main partner when it comes to the cars and trucks to be used.

“We have so many other sponsors coming on board including, Sir Wicknell Chivayo, he has promised us something and we are optimistic that he will chip in,” the association’s chairman, Knox Musengi.

He said, sponsors are coming on board and they are looking forward to seeing great attendance.

“We have people like Mr Matt, Oxman, Chido Maenzanise among others.

“We are all excited about this event and we will be notifying our fans of the actual venue, but we are engaging the Racecourse owners.

“We are confident in this event and several participants from other countries have also confirmed their availability.”

Chido Maenzanise, Mr Mat, Rice Otten Vado, are among the other top participants and other athletes from the region.
