A 39-year-old Plumtree man has been jailed for 15 years in prison for rape.
The accused raped a 26-year-old woman whom he had been drinking with at Dingumuzi Bar.
The incident occurred on April 6.
The complainant got so drunk that she could not walk.
He took advantage of her state of incapacitation and raped her in a secluded area near Dingumuzi bar.
A witness observed the sexual assault and alerted the bar owner, who promptly notified police officers on patrol in the area.
He was then arrested before he was sentenced.
