Midlands State University (MSU) has reportedly fired nine lecturers over allegations of gross incompetence on an exam cover page.
Close sources allege that the lecturers made a mistake on the cover pages of theory exam modules.
For the alleged offence, they were charged with gross incompetence.
The question paper had a mistake with an instruction that students should answer all questions in Section B and all 3 questions in Section B.
Yet, it was supposed to say answer all questions in Section A and three questions in Section B.
This was on the same cover page for all theoretical modules.
And they were charged together with some individuals from quality assurance.
All their charges were under gross incompetence.
Gross incompetence, according to the MSU code of conduct, is a dismissive offence.
