Under fire, rapper Holy Ten says that rehab is a difficult decision to make.
The singer appears to be on his way to rehabilitation following some controversies in which he ended up attacking the sons of the First Family.
His actions have been alluded to high intake of drugs and susbtance abuse, something he seems to be dismissing.
However, he has since backtracked on his statements and issued an apology.
He posted on his X account:
“Rehab is a very difficult decision, especially when you know you are not using what they say you are using.
“I have always avoided it because it’s a place where I know the junkies go.
“As a man who drank a lot of alcohol but still had the ability to make proper decisions the next morning, I thought I could just conquer it easily.
“But the same alcohol has destroyed others before— their health, their families, their talents, and their lives.
“So, I have made these bold decisions to seek professional help,” he said.
He added that some people want to see him finished.
“I know a lot of people wish to see me fail in many ways, but the same people who would wish to put me in trouble have always shown me love and expressed a genuine need for professional help.
“And this is a step toward that.
“I still call myself ‘the leader of the youth’ because I still am; I just need to remember the direction they need to be led in.
“The right one.
“I am not going to inspire a nation of alcoholics.
“To those who are praying for me, I promise I will be a better man.
“I remain apologetic for everything I said.”
Holy Ten pleaded for forgiveness from the President:
“Please forgive me, Zimbabwe. Please forgive me, my Commander-in-Chief, my President, my brothers.
“To my mother, who is in a state of pain and disbelief; to my wife, who has been watching all this unfold and trying to help me; and to our political party.”
