President Mnangagwa has urged journalists to write to show that Zimbabweans are themselves not to please others who are not Zimbabweans.
He was speaking during the launch of the Media Policy at the State House.
“We must write to show we are ourselves, never to please those who are not ourselves. Content that harms our country has no space under my watch.
“I challenge the media to be aware of the role it plays in the global space, and I call upon content creators to help create and showcase our national and cultural treasures.
“I urge you to craft content that attracts investment and tourism, and reiterate that a responsible media is vibrant for a constitutional democracy.
“We have taken a bold decision to make sure.
And empowerment, progress, unity, and sustainable development for our motherland, Zimbabwe.
“Content that harms our country and our citizens has no space in our constitution and democracy under my watch.”
Added the President.
“The values of Ubuntu must always inspire us to balance our individual and collective rights.
“Media is a cornerstone for peace, unity, anything besides this chibhakera muziso- ED.”
