Silent Killer p,opularly known as Ngwere abandoned his trip to the UK where he was expected to perform at the SAMA Festival, after claims that he had a dream about the plane exploding.
He went on to hide in a toilet at the airport.
The Ngwere Yemulonyenyi missed two flights, much to the disappointment of the organisers, who blamed drugs.
One of the organisers, Fred Matenga of Y2K Promotions, said, It’s an unfortunate incident.
“It’s very unfortunate that we got to a situation where his visa and everything are there.
“He went to the airport today (Friday), this sounds like fiction, but that’s what happened.
“He managed to check in for the Ethiopian Air flight around five past 3.
“When he checked in, he decided to go back to the car.
“The plan was supposed to take off in an hour, but instead he went to the car.
“The doors closed about 30 minutes before takeoff.
“We frantically tried to get another ticket and Alex my colleague was sorting that and he managed to get him another flight.
“The flight was leaving Harare at 6 am and well, he was at the airport, ticket bought about US$1500.
“But he decided that he had a dream that the plan was going to explode or something like that,” he said.
“So aramba kukwira ndege achibva azvikiyira mutoilet. Hanzi arota ichiputika.
“It is sad that we think he needs psychiatric input, he needs to go to the hospital.
“So, unfortunately for the people who were looking forward to seeing Silent Killer.
“Again, it’s issues to do with drugs.
“We have situations like that, which is very unfortunate.”
He was expected to perform alongside Alick Macheso, Mambo Dhuterere, Selmor Muridzo, Voltz JT, Blot, Nisha T, DJ Sab, and FATHA Ansy.
