A headmaster at Allan Wilson, Tafara Zhou has been suspended for sexually abusing a male student, Zimdailyjournal can reveal.
Allan Wilson Boy’s High School head suspended
Allan Wilson Boy’s High School headmaster, Tafara Zhou, who is facing aggravated indecent assault charges has been suspended.
He allegedly abused a student between 2022 and 2024.
Zhou was not asked to plead when he appeared in court last weekend.
Allegations are that in 2022, the complainant, who is now 19 years old, approached several high schools in Harare looking for a scholarship.
He then went to Allan Wilson High School, where he met Zhou and told him he was looking for a Form 3 place.
Zhou allegedly sexually abused the boy several times.
A close source said, Zhou has been suspended.
“On Thursday, the new head came to the school.
“The new head is coming from George Stark.
“They had a meeting with officials from the district. And he was suspended until they finalised the matter.
“We are not sure, if it’s suspension pending dismissal or anything”
