A Rusape woman killed her husband on Independence Day after allegations of cheating.
Netsai Matsikira (38), was arrested after killing Charles Chikukwa,42.
Police confirmed the incident on their X account.
“Police in Rusape arrested Netsa for a murder case which occurred in Vengere, where she allegedly fatally struck her husband, several times with a pole following an altercation over allegations of infidelity.”
On the same date police in Chombira arrested Takudzwa Chirunga (24) in connection with a murder case which occurred at Makwachimba River, Chiweshe.
The suspect allegedly killed his uncle, Mailosi Chirunga (54).
“The victim was found seated, leaning against a tree, with a red cloth covering his nose and mouth, tied to the tree,” said police.
Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe Republic Police is appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Revai Guri (38), who is wanted for a murder case.
He allegedly struck his co-worker, Jao Antonio Pangurai (23), once on the head with an axe over a cigarette lighter at a farm in Nyapundo Village, Nyanga, on April 17.
