Comedian Charles Merusi, popularly known as Marabha has died.
The veteran comedian was part of a comedy series with his long-time colleage Freddy Manjalima, Kapfupi.
One of his close partners, DJ Shugetta, confirmed:
“We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Brother and friend Charles Mapalume, who was also known as Marabha.
“He passed away this morning at Harare Hospital.
“Fly High, King,” he said.
While Regina, who also acted with Marabha confirmed.
“Wandirwadzisa umwe wangu wandisiira rondapamoyo may your soul rest in peace Marabha,” she said.
He worked extensively with Kapfupi in Street theatre and comedy movies.
In 2020, he fell sick before he was assisted by well-wishers to take him to the hospital.
