Top ZimDancehall chanters are flocking to Mutoko to record songs on the recently launched Jiddim Ridim.
The riddim which is a collective effort of Jidim Entertainment and Samchris and Terry Gunz, is making waves.
Last week the riddim was launched on ZiFM and producer Samcris expressed confidence on the riddim.
The success of the riddim has however triggered the coming of several other artists who now want to add their input to the riddim.
Top Zimbabwe lawyer and owner of Jiddim Entertainment Jivas Mudimu confirmed.
“We started with some artists with names yes but now after the launch of the riddim our producer has been getting calls from musicians and their managers who want to be part of the riddim.
“As of now, we cannot reveal the names of those top dancehall chanters but as soon as we are done with the processes we will avail the names,” said Mudimu.
He said he was happy with the response of the fans.
“The riddim has been overwhelmingly accepted by the dancehall community.
“I am happy about that and I have seen upcoming artists in Mutoko have successfully launched their careers through that riddim,” he added.
Silent Killer, Kinnah, Mostaff, Boom Beto, Hwindi President, Sniper Storm, D Flex, Ginna Marina,Kadhija, Kabhidha, T Makwikwi are some of the musicians featured on the riddim.
Mudimu is not new in Mutoko, especially in the Makaha area where he has done a lot for artists and music lovers.
A top lawyer and music enthusiast, has brought life to Makaha area with his entertainment hub and a recording studio named Jiddim Entertainment.
Dancehall artists are taking turns to perform at Jiddim Night Club in Makaha area, with the coming of a new venue giving a new lease of life to musicians.
The nightclub has brought a new lease of life in the Makaha community prompting people to travel as far as Harare to enjoy themselves in the Eastern town.
Mudimu said they just want to give fans entertainment and due to the fans’ response, they are opening another leisure centre in Mutoko town.
He has been very instrumental in the uplifting of young artists.
Their studio Jiddim Studios got an overwhelming response when they called up artists to record for free.
“There is amazing talent in Mutoko and all we need are people that support that.
“As Jiddim Studios we have seen amazing talent, we have recorded several artists for free and you will hear the songs when they are ready, it’s amazing,” said Mudimu.
As a way of motivating the young stars, they are sharing stage with established musicians when they perform in Mutoko.
