Several families have been left homeless after the houses they were staying in were destroyed at Arcturus Mine.
The houses were destroyed under the instruction of the mine’s new owner, Tawanda Nyambira of TN Holdings.
Since Nyambirai took over the mine, several people have been harassed.
“Vanhu ava vaigara kudzimba dzainzi dzekuMafuro Manyoro.
“He gave them notice on Friday last week and on Monday, it was just action.
“They were given a short notice from last week Friday.”
Recently, TN Securities (Pvt) Limited has been evicting people since they took over from Metallon Gold.
The former workers were sacked by Metallon Gold for causing strike that resulted in the mine’s closure.
This resulted in them losing their legal right to stay in the houses.
Arcturus Mine had over 700 workers whose families reside in the compounds.
