Twelve pupils were injured when their school bus was hit by a train this morning.
The accident occurred at the Willton Level Crossing in Mutare.
The pupils were taken to the hospital where they are receiving treatment.
National Railways of Zimbabwe investigations revealed that the bus driver failed to follow level crossing rules resulting in the accident.
“The accident is a stark reminder to all drivers to exercise extreme caution and strictly adhere to road rules at level crossings,” NRZ said.
