Waking up to this very sad news. RIP Norman ” Lumumba ” Maroto. I remember how he starred for Dynamos when he was 16 ( we were same age ). What a goalscorer.
Later, I knew him when he played in Zvishavane. Very active and informative on X. Gutted. Rest Easy Legend!!.-Kumbirai Chipadza

Sad to hear that Norman Maroto has passed on after a short illness. His. The 13-year PSL goal scoring record is still intact. An absolute gem during his time at Dynamos and has been making strides to further his development in football post-playing days. RIP Norma

I was born a Bosso supporter. I only supported Dembare when Chunga unleashed Kidsnet. I t was a marvel to watch Choruwa, Mashiri, Muchekela, Maroto et al. Painful that one of them is gone. RIP Norman Maroto!-@freemanchari
