Police have assured the nation that they are prepared to ensure that Zimbabweans have peace and security in the country ahead of July 31 hinted demonstrations.
The demonstration spearheaded by different individuals have come a threat to national security with authorities staying on high alert to deal with anyone found pushing the agenda.
The demonstration is part of denying to endorse the newly enacted Constitution Amendment Bill No3 which was signed by President Mnangagwa into law, now Constitution Amendment Act 3.
In a statement, National Police Spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi said, police are mantaining peace.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police assures Zimbabweans of peace and security in the country.
“The Police has made deployments in all parts of the country for effective maintenance of law and order.
“In this regard, Zimbabweans should feel free to engage in normal day to day activities without hindrance.”
