Dynamos have suspended head coach Genesis ‘Kaka’ Mangombe, pending finalization of investigations into several alleged acts of misconduct.
In a statement, the Dynamos executive confirmed the suspension.
“Following the numerous complaints and allegations that have been made against you Genesis Mangombe by some of the Dynamos FC players and your alleged conduct on Thursday 18 June 2026 at Glamis Arena towards the members of the Dynamos FC Executive Committee and its impact; we regret to inform you that the employer (Board of Directors) has resolved to suspend you from your duties as Head Coach of Dynamos FC effective immediately.
The suspension will pave way to allow further investigations into the plethora of allegations raised against you without any interference from you or any other interested party.
Your suspension is due to the following reasons;
- Insubordination – it is alleged that on Thursday 18 June 2026 at Glamis Arena you were summoned to attend a post training technical meeting after the team’s training session.
“During the said meeting you were advised of some of the allegations that had been made against you by the goalkeeper Idrissou Nfor Finiar who alleged that you are forcing players to bath in juju before games.
“Similar allegations had been previously raised against you by Christopher Netty, Dynamos Senior players through their Captain, and Stanley Billiart who also alleged that if a player refused to bath in juju as per your directive they would not be allowed to play on matchday.
“Your allegedly disrespected members of the Dynamos Executive Committee who were talking to you during that post-training technical meeting by challenging them, showing disregard for their authority.
“You also told them that you no longer wanted to continue as the Dynamos FC Head Coach and walked away, leaving the members of the Dynamos Executive Committee and other attendees in shock.
“You went to your car and the Chief Security Officer, Mr Fakero followed you, and you told him that you were no longer interested in remaining as Dynamos FC Head Coach.
“b. Forcing Dynamos FC players to use or bath in juju before games and conform to your beliefs (as explained above).
“This goes against Club policy and individual players’ employment contracts. Some players are now demoralized as they do not hold or share your traditional belief systems.
“c. Withholding the playing kits of some Dynamos FC team players (including that of Idrissou Nfor Finiar) and sending them for juju rituals, only to hand him back his kit on matchday just before the game.
“This is against Club policy and football rules. All kits are supposed to be kept by the Kit manager.
“d. Match-fixing or Game manipulation – it is alleged that you were involved in game manipulation of results wherein Dynamos FC would either lose the games or at least draw (avoiding a win result).
“These are serious allegations that go against all football rules of the game.
“These allegations relate to the following matches;
“i. Dynamos Vs Scotland FC Castle Challenge Cup played on 1 March 2026, where Dynamos lost 5-0 after you allegedly played some players out of positions that they were signed up to play in without justifiable reasons.
“ii. Highlanders Vs Dynamos FC Charity Shield match, wherein Dynamos FC lost 1-0.
“iii. The Dynamos Vs Hunters match, wherein both teams drew 2-2.
“iv. Caps Utd Vs Dynamos match wherein Dynamos FC lost 2-1.
“e. Willfully Violating the Castle Larger Premier Soccer League Rules and Regulations whereby you are alleged to have continuously violated a directive given to you by Mr Fakero the Chief Security Officer; not to instruct the players to go round the entire pitch when doing their warm up before the game.
“You instructed players to violate that standing instruction on Sunday 21 June 2026 at Barbourfields Stadium before the Highlanders and Dynamos game.
“The match commissioner raised this issue with Mr Fakero and we anticipate that Dynamos FC will be sanctioned and asked to pay a fine.
“f. Willful failure to submit post-match reports to the Club C.E.O after every game played by Dynamos FC.
“It is alleged that ever since you became Head Coach at Dynamos FC you were told, which is also standard practice; that you must always submit your post-match reports to the Club C.E.O but you have either refused, failed or neglected to do so notwithstanding several reminders.
“You have to date only submitted about three reports only in the twenty games played.
“g. Bringing the sport of football and name of Dynamos FC into disrepute.
“Some of the alleged acts of misconduct by yourself listed above have grave consequences on the brand of Dynamos FC and football at large.
“Your alleged conduct especially in relation to match-fixing, game manipulation and use of juju brings the name of Dynamos FC and sport of football into disrepute.
“Depending on the outcome of the investigations, appropriate and more specific charges may be subsequently preferred against you.
“In the interim, during your suspension period you will;
“a. Be relieved of your Coaching duties and responsibilities at Dynamos FC
“b. Not be permitted to attend any Dynamos FC team training sessions, matches or any Club official events
“c. Continue to receive your full salary, benefits and full entitlementsd. Not be allowed to sign up with any other football team unless his employment contract is either mutually terminated by both parties or terminated in terms of the signed Employment Contract between Dynamos FC and yourself.
“e. Not interfere with investigations into your alleged conduct. You will also not contact any Dynamos FC players, officials or Executive Committee members or try and persuade them not to cooperate with investigations, give written statement accounts so as to defeat due process.
“f. Cooperate with the Club and investigating team as and when you are required to do anything in line with the said investigations.
“Will not give any interviews or issue any statement to the public or through any media house or platform in connection with or in response to the said allegations as this may prejudice investigations.
“The Club guarantees that all investigations will be conducted in an impartial, transparent and unbiased manner.Your utmost cooperation will be greatly appreciated.”
