Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2026: Is the script already written?

The Miss Universe Zimbabwe grand finale, held last Saturday, at Harare’s Hippodrome, was supposed to celebrate young women, their achievements, and their dreams.

However, many people left asking serious, thought-provoking questions about what happened during the event.

Thirty-four-year-old Roseanna Hall walked away with the Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2026 crown, which has received more questions than answers.

Many questioned whether fairness was exhibited over the top crown.

She reportedly served as a judge during the previous edition of the pageant.

And this has raised eyebrows.

Did a Commentator Disrespect Women?

One of the biggest controversies came from commentator Tichaona Matambanadzo, popularly known as Tich Mataz.

During the event, he reportedly said that women are “objects meant to arouse men.”

Many people were shocked by the statement.

Should women be viewed as objects or should they be respected for their intelligence, leadership, and talents?

Social media users said such remarks have no place at a national event that is supposed to empower young women.

They argue that comments like these send the wrong message to girls watching at home.

Themba Mliswa’s stage presence

The most embarrassing part of the event was when Businessman Sabhuku Mliswa stormed onto the stage before showering some cash on the queen, much to the disapproval of the public.

Hall was not given a chance to celebrate her moment.

Many people are now asking: Why was he allowed to access the stage? Where was security? Why did nobody stop him?

Fans believe that security procedures should be reviewed to prevent stage invasions.

Fans also suggested that rules should be introduced to stop recent judges from competing in the pageant.

Supporters of the competition say these questions must be answered if Miss Universe Zimbabwe is to maintain its credibility and continue inspiring young women across the country.

Some sections of the fan base hoped that Ruvimbo Njomboro would be crowned the queen, but the script was already completed.

Virginia Nyambe was crowned Miss Intercontinental Zimbabwe 2026, Jemima Mandemwa won Top Model of the World Zimbabwe 2026, Nicole Nyawera secured the Miss Supranational Zimbabwe 2026 title, Malaika Mushandu became Miss Cosmo Zimbabwe 2026, Ruvimbo Njomboro won Miss International Zimbabwe 2026, and Brunette Makanyiso was crowned Miss World Zimbabwe 2026.
