It was a sombre atmosphere at Graniville Cemetery, known as Mbudzi, during the burial of Tabeth Chidziva, who was shot dead in Johannesburg last week.
Tabetha was shot in front of many people.
The killer is yet to be identified, with some suspecting that he is from Zimbabwe, while others suspect he is a South African.
She left behind three children.
She turned 42 on March 16 this year.
Her funeral was live broadcast by Moreboys Munetsi of Great Hope Insurance, who also played a huge role in the repatriation of the body.
Several speakers expressed their anger towards the callous murder.
“Soko vachatsvaga vega munhu wavo, chinorova inyama kwete munhu,” said another speaker.
A friend said:
“Hakuna rest in peace yakadai, ngaaite hondo yake ega.
“Soko ngaikwire mumuti ibate munhu wayo yega, usazorore, dzoka urwise,” she said.
While some, including Munetsi, called for the welfare of the 10-year-old son, who is her last born.
“We are now mobilising for support to help this boy, with whom she was staying in South Africa.
“She needs your support so that she can manage to complete his education,” said a close friend.
