…as some question sentence for driving without license
The 420 hours of community service which was given to musician Chillmaster after he killed a pedestrian and driving without a license have sparked debate, with some calling for a jail sentence.
The singer, appeared in court charged with culpable homicide and driving without a license.
He killed a 50-year-old man in Hopefully.
He later pleaded guilty to both charges.
Mbare magistrate Tatenda Mukurunge sentenced him to 420 hours of unpaid work to be done at Stoneridge Primary School.
He was also fined US$200 for driving without a valid license.
However, following the sentence, some sections have been calling for a jail sentence, citing that he was found wanting for driving without a license.
