Strongman Jonathan ‘Mr Mat’ Muvingi has pledged to participate at the African Championships courtesy of the Royal Moroccan Wrestling Federation.
The event will take place from April 29 to May 4.
To date, Mr Mat has participated in 17 competitions where he has travelled to Egypt, Iran, Swaziland, South Africa, Uzbekistan, among other countries.
He has won gold, silver, and bronze.
In a statement, the Royal Moroccan Wrestling Federation said.
“The Royal Moroccan Wrestling Federation has the honour to invite the Zimbabwe Federation to participate in the African Championships for the U17, Uzo, and Senior categories in Greco-Roman, Freestyle, and Women’s Wrestling, organized in Casablanca, Morocco, from April 29 to May 04, 2025.
“On this occasion, the president of the Royal Moroccan Wrestling Federation extends a warm welcome to your athletes and officials.
“To ensure the best conditions for your reception and stay, as well as those of your delegation.
“I would be grateful if you could communicate the passports of all persons to be accredited and complete the attached form.
“While looking forward to welcoming you to Morocco, please accept, Mr. President, the expression of my highest consideration and esteem.
