Jailed for raping daughter, A 43-year-old man from Bindura has been jailed for 30 years after he raped his 13-year-old daughter.
He appeared before Bindura Magistrates’ Court for raping the young girl and performing an indecent act with her.
The accused person and the complainant’s mother separated and the complainant went into the custody of her mother in Muzarabani.
When the complainant got to Grade 3, the accused person went and collected her so they could stay together with the complainant’s stepmother in Bindura.
He did not send the complainant to school.
Sometime in 2023, the accused person and the complainant’s stepmother had a misunderstanding and they separated.
The complainant was left in cthe ustody of the accused person.
The accused person called the complainant into his bedroom during the night and told her that he wanted “to make her a charm so that her stepmother could return.”
He ordered her to sit on the bed and she complied. He undressed, took soap and water and made lubricant before raping the complainant.
After the act, the complainant went to her room, she bled but did not disclose the matter to anyone.
In another incident the accused person made the complainant massage his manhood.
The matter came to light in October 2024 when the complainant’s stepmother returned home unexpectedly and found the accused person instructing the complainant to massage his manhood.
