Youth Empowerment, Development, and Vocational Training Minister, Tino Machakaire on Wednesday conferred certificates to over 500 students at the 22nd edition graduation at Chamanimsni Vocational Training Center in Mt Darwin.
The also graduation includes several people living with disabilities.
Minister Machakaire said:
“We are training these youths and they are now skilled.
“They can do farming, carpentry, and many skilled jobs. We don’t want to leave anyone behind when it comes to skills.
“They can start doing their project in their communities. As you are aware, we have a shortage of builders, and carpenters and this will help us usher in such skilled labour.
“Some of them are living with disability and now they have skills and are capable,” he said.
A graduate said:
“I trained and got skills. I can now do my own things and I need space to do my own things.
