Six Malawian nationals who were found without traveling documents have been nabbed in Mbare.
The arrest was made on October 30, by ZINACO and ZRP Mbare.
Reports says that on October,30 at around 10 am, Kwangware E, a member of Zimbabwe National Anti-Corruption Organization (ZINACO), received a report from an anonymous caller.
The called informed him that there were 18 illegal immigrants in Rimbi bus registration number AGZ1410.
Kwangware E quickly informed his superior by the name Zindoga T.
Zindoga quickly contacted ZRP Mbare Musika Rank Member in Charge Assistant Inspector Muchadenyika, informing him of this information.
The A/I vehemently denied arresting the illegal immigrants, saying ZINACO officials must call the Immigration Department.
ZINACO Officials then contacted Police General Headquarters Internal Investigations and told them that the Member in Charge had refused to arrest the illegal immigrants.
PGHQ Internal Investigations quickly contacted ZRP Mbare Officer in Charge.
The Officer in Charge Mbare instructed the Mbare Post Member in Charge to escort ZINACO Officials Mbwana D and Kwangware to make sure the matter is attended to, two Constables escorted ZINACO Officials, and out of 18 only 6 illegal immigrants were arrested around 1pm namely:
Aron Seti age (26),
Mafolo Innocent age (33),
Junior Peter age (22),
Rose Limbu, female age (20),
Malunga Frank, age (28),
Patrick Harosani age (21). They were detained at Mbare Police Station, awaiting to appear in Court.
Zimbabwe National Anti-Corruption Organization (ZINACO), Chairperson said that their organization is so grateful for the work done by the PGHQ Internal Investigations on several cases they have handed over to them.
He added that they are conducting Investigations to enable them to establish how these immigrants are getting into Zimbabwe through the Borders.
