Ster-Kinekor Sam Levy to shut down

The Ster-Kinekor movie cinema located at Sam Levy Village will be closing its doors on June 30, 2023, due to the expiration of their lease agreement.

In a statement, the management confirmed that they are looking for a new location.

“We regret to inform you that our Sam Levy Village Cinema lease agreement, which lasted for an impressive 10 years, is expiring on the 30th of June 2024.

“Unfortunately, the landlord has made the unexpected decision to repurpose the space and shift its focus away from cinema.

“Nevertheless, the legacy is far from over and we are actively searching for a new, suitable location to carry on with our innovative business model.

“Our hearts are full of gratitude for the memories and joy this cinema has brought to many over the years.

“For now, we look forward to continuing welcoming you to our Bulawayo and Joina City cinemas whilst we finalise our next location/s.

“Thank you for being part of our story.

“We can’t wait to see you soon.”
