A 42-year-old man from Mutare has been jailed for 15 years for kissing and caressing his 12-year-old daughter’s privates.
The accused person was arraigned before the Mutare Magistrates’ Court facing aggravated indecent assault charges.
He is the biological father of the victim.
On February 11, this year the accused person was watching a soccer match on television in the lounge.
His daughter was sleeping in the same room.
It was proved that he got into the complainant’s blankets.
While in the blankets he started kissing her before caressing her private parts.
The matter came to light the following day when the complainant confided in her teacher.
The teacher accompanied her to the Police Station to make a report.
