21 000 families face eviction at Mazowe Mine

Minister Kazembe Kazembe and Mazowe resident minister Magomo are facing backlash over their conduct of harassing and pushing out 21,000 workers of Mazowe Mine.

It is alleged that the police are biased towards management and their principals who are beneficiaries of the loot.

The two ministers are allegedly trying to elbow over 21,000 workers and only want to remain with 14.

In that effort, they have caused the arrest of some of the workers.

The two have since assigned a deputy sheriff to evict everyone from the mine so that they live behind their loyalists.

“The ministers are causing havoc at the mine as they are pushing out everyone. Close to 21,000 workers are facing eviction while they only want to remain with 14.

“The ministers want to evict many people from the mine so that they take control and assign their loyal individuals.
“They only want to remain with 14 from the 21000 available.

But the court has since barred them from doing so.
“The issue is that after the mine was closed, it has been run by the workers themselves who joined hands for continuity.”

“They have been pushing for paperwork and Kazembe and Magomo want to take control of it by eliminating anyone who goes against their decrees,” said a source.

The source said, that what is irking the workers is that the two want to remove everyone.
“They are also using police to intimidate and arrest their targets.”
