A 45-year-old man has been jailed for 20 years after raping his 15-year-old daughter.
The man from Beatrice appeared before Chivhu Regional Magistrates’ Court where he was convicted and jailed.
It was proved that sometime this year, the offender took advantage of his wife’s absence and sneaked into the victim’s room during the night.
He found her naked, while changing her clothes. He gagged the victim’s mouth before he raped her.
The matter came to light in July this year, when messages between the two were intercepted, following a tip-off.
A police report was made, leading to the offender’s arrest.
