A Chinhoyi-based 47-year-old primary school teacher has been jailed for 24 months for indecently assaulting three female pupils.
The teacher appeared before Chinhoyi Magistrates’ Court, where he was convicted.
It was proved that during the month of March 2026, the offender used his position of authority to target three grade 5 students aged between 10 and 11 years.
In the first instance, the offender ordered a 10-year-old victim to deliver books to his house, where he proceeded to kiss her and caress her neck.
On another unknown date at the same school, the offender untucked the shirt of an 11-year-old pupil in the classroom to caress her back while making lewd remarks and exposing his manhood
On the third count, the offender showed pornographic material from his cellphone to another 11-year-old student during lesson time.
The matter came to light after the victims reported the harrowing experiences, leading to the immediate arrest and prosecution of the teacher.
