He appeared in court before a Harare magistrate, facing rape and murder charges.
He was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Ruth Moyo.
Monga was remanded in custody to next month pending finalisation of investigations.
He was advised to apply for bail at the High Court as he is facing a third schedule offence.
Allegations are that on March 3, Monga took his daughter into his bedroom, where he forced her to lie down on his bed.
The State alleges the man fled the scene, leaving his biological daughter’s lifeless body on the floor.
He was later apprehended and arrested.
