After writing letter about her death, cancer-stricken girl dies

After writing a letter about her death, teenage cancer-stricken girl has died.

Shalom Onoja, a former student at Nettleton Junior School who has been battling cancer has died after penning down an emotional letter about her death.

She died while admitted at Parirenyatwa Hospital.

A close source confirmed the death.

“Unfortunately she is nomore.

“It was just a matter of time after doctors even refused to allow the parents to take her home.”

Her family remained hopeful despite her battling stage 4 cancer.

She had her leg amputated after Good Samaritans contributed a deposit of R20,000.

The 14-year-old was battling rare bone cancer, penned three letters, including one in which she talks about how her funeral should be conducted, although her defiant family refuses to give up hope.

She was diagnosed with bone cancer in August 2024.

Shalom’s condition started deteriorating last month and she is currently admitted at Parirenyatwa’s cancer ward.

The little angel was now relying on artificial oxygen and a well-wisher donated an oxygen machine, which she was to use at home, when after being discharged.
