Two minor siblings aged two and three drowned while playing together before attempting to swim in a well.
The incident occurred in Marange, Manicaland Province.
In a statement, police confirmed the incident and said they are investigating the tragic case.
“Police in Marange, Manicaland Province are investigating a tragic drowning incident in which two siblings, Tsaura Destiny (two years) and Dorcus Machokwani (three years).
“Both of them drowned in a water well in Dhingire Village on September, 17, at around 9 am.
“The two minors are suspected to have been playing together before attempting to swim in the well.
“The victims’ mother later discovered the bodies floating in the well.”
