One person died and two others, a man and a woman, were injured when their car was hit by a train near Marondera Saturday morning.
In a statement, National Railways of Zimbabwe confirmed the incident.
“The accident happened at 0415 Hours at a level crossing at Tarisira between Marondera and Macheke.
“The injured have been rushed to hospital.
“The NRZ sends its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased man and also wish the injured persons a speedy recovery.
“We also urge motorists to exercise extreme caution when approaching level crossings.”
