Major network service provider, NetOne, has reaffirmed its commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen and supporting initiatives that contribute to community development, healthcare, education, and empowerment.
This was revealed by NetOne Group Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Raphael Mushanawani, at the inaugural NetOne-KIDZCAN Golf Tournament.

Mushanawani said that, as NetOne, they believe that connectivity goes beyond technology.

“While we connect people through communication, we also believe in connecting communities to opportunities, connecting partnerships to purpose, and connecting people to hope.

“It reflects our belief that sustainable development can only be achieved when Government, the private sector, civil society, and communities work together towards a common goal.

“However, as important as the golf has been, this tournament was never solely about the game. It was about something much bigger than all of us.

“It was about giving hope to children battling cancer.
“It was about standing with families facing one of life’s most difficult challenges.
“It was about demonstrating the power of compassion and collective action,” he said.
“Cancer is a difficult journey for anyone, but for a child, it can be especially challenging.
“Yet despite the obstacles they face, these young heroes continue to inspire us through their courage, resilience, and determination.
“Their strength reminds us that hope remains powerful even in the most difficult circumstances.
“We therefore commend KIDZCAN for the remarkable work it continues to do in supporting children affected by cancer through advocacy, treatment support, awareness, and care.
“Your commitment is transforming lives and bringing hope to countless families across Zimbabwe.
“As NetOne, we believe that connectivity goes beyond technology.
“While we connect people through communication, we also believe in connecting communities to opportunities, connecting partnerships to purpose, and connecting people to hope.
“Today, that spirit of connectivity was evident across this golf course.
“We witnessed businesses, institutions, individuals, and partners coming together in support of a noble cause.
“This is the kind of collaboration that drives meaningful social impact and strengthens our nation,” he added.
He further said that golf teaches many valuable lessons.
“It teaches patience, discipline, focus and perseverance.
“It teaches us that obstacles can be overcome through determination and belief.
“These are the same qualities demonstrated every day by the brave children supported by KIDZCAN.
“As we conclude this successful event, let us remember that the greatest achievement of the day is not reflected on the leaderboard.
“The true success of this tournament lies in the lives that will be touched, the awareness that has been created and the hope that has been strengthened.”
