Police have identified two Early Childhood Development (ECD) learners who drowned in a swimming pool at a mission school in Penhalonga, Mutare.
The incident occured on June 11.
Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe Republic Police has arrested a maintenance supervisor, Charles Chigwizura (49) and caretaker, Andrew Chingono (38) for culpable homicide following the incident.
“The victims were identified by their guardians as Devian Andrew Mungazi (Five), a male juvenile, Harzel Mission, School and Lovemore Tendedziso (Six), a male juvenile of Hobhouse Three, Mutare,” said national police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi.
