Liquor Licensing Board to review 1976 Act

The Liquor Licensing Board is working on reviewing the 1976 Act, which has become redundant in modern times.
This was revealed during the all-stakeholder meeting held this Wednesday in the capital.
The process is aimed at aligning the Act with modern developments.

The Liquor Licensing in Zimbabwe is governed by the Liquor Act (Chapter 14:12), which regulates the issuance of licences to ensure public order and health.

The issuance of licences is practically guided by the concepts of Zoning and Clustering, which should be isolated and interrated inorder to have a clear picture.
