Seven people who were killed at an accident scene on Friday evening were Highlanders supporters who were coming from their match against FC Platinum.
Highlanders FC have confirmed that the people who were run over by a speeding truck at an accident scene were supporters.
In a statement, the club confirmed.
“Highlanders extends its deepest condolences to the families, friends, and loved ones of the seven supporters who tragically lost their lives on Friday evening.
“The accident occurred along the Bulawayo-Gwanda Road as they were returning from our match against FC Platinum.
“To the bereaved, we offer our sincere prayers, strength, and unwavering support during this incredibly difficult time.
“May you find comfort in the love that surrounds you and in the memories of those we have lost.
“As a club, we stand with you in grief and solidarity.
“Their passion and dedication to the Black and White will forever be etched in our history.
“May their souls rest in eternal peace. 🕊️”
