One of the armed robbers who participated in the robbery at businessman Wicknell Chivayo’s in-laws has been jailed for 30 years.
The incident occurred last month at Omega Farm in Marondera where about 20 armed men stormed the farm, disappearing with over US$ 70,000.
Bigboy Nampungo was convicted of six counts of armed robbery and will serve an effective 30 years in prison after the court made half the 60-year to run concurrently.
The other suspects are still on remand, awaiting trial.
