Bulawayo-A police officer has been shot dead by a gang of five suspects.
The 43-year-old from Siziba Surbub was on duty.
National police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is investigating the fatal shooting of a police officerin Sizinda Suburb, Bulawayo on March 28, at 0000 hours.
“The police officer was in the company of a colleague while driving a Police vehicle.”
Commissioner Nyathi said, the team was on duty.
“The team was attending to a report of Domestic Violence when five suspects came to the gate and shot him dead in cold blood.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of the suspects.”
