Goromonzi High School has urged parents to dress properly when they visit their children to avoid embarrassing them.
This message was conveyed by the headmaster Mr NT Gombera last week.
He was addressing the ZIMSEC registration and consultation day where he urged parents to dress modestly.
“We also urge parents to dress modestly whenever they visit the school, in order to protect their child from ridicule or mocking by others.
“As a general rule, we do not prescribe the dress code for parents.
“However, as school authorities, we must never be left in doubt that those visiting pupils are bonafide parents of Goromonzi High School.
“Lastly, be reminded that schools close on Thursday 10 April 2025.
“Thank all the parents for your cooperation and understanding.”
“Please be reminded of the deadline for the payment of exam fees for the 2025 ZIMSEC Ordinary and Advanced Level candidates which is Thursday 20 March, 2025.
“May all parents whose children are candidates take note of this deadline to avoid any inconveniences.
“Friday, 21 March 2025 will be consultation day for all pupils in Form 2,4 and Upper 6.
“The consultation will take place from 8 am to 1 pm.
“Please do not miss the chance to meet face-to-face with all teachers to discuss your child’s academic progress.
“Kindly stick to the stipulated times to avoid any disappointments.
“In order to facilitate the smooth running of this consultation, normal lessons for all classes will end at 1300 hours on Thursday 20 March 2025, to allow for cleaning of classrooms and furniture arrangement in the consulting rooms from 1400 hours to 1600 hours.”
Mr Gombera said, on Friday, 21 March 2025, all form ones, threes, and lower 6 students are not expected in the classrooms as these will be occupied.
“Boarders will do their assignments in the hostels, whilst day scholars do their assignments at home.
“This will enable the smooth running of the combination.”
