A 67-year-old father has been jailed for 20 years for raping his two minor daughters aged 5 and 11.
The man from Chirumanzu appeared before a Gweru magistrate who convicted him of rape.
He was sentenced to an effective 20 years imprisonment for raping his two daughters.
The offender raped his daughters on various occasions in 2024.
He threatened to harm the complainants if they disclosed the matter to anyone.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ), the matter came to light when the girls’ mother noticed unfamiliar behaviour in the complainants.
A police report was made, leading to his arrest.
