Residents in Mbare have bemoaned continued sewer bursts in the area stating that the situation is unbearable.
this was revealed following a visit by the Ministry of Health and Child Care along with City of Harare officials.
The Ministry’s deputy Sleiman Timios Kwidini called for close collaboration of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Committee to resolve the problem of sewer burst in Mbare.
He visited the residential area in the company of Ministry of Health and City of Harare officials following numerous reports of burst sewer pipes and flowing sewerage.
Residents complained that these sewer bursts and flowing sewerage started last year.
Some residents noted that the situation was unbearable as sewerage was flowing all over the suburb.
Hon Kwidini promised that all relevant authorities under Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) would be involved in addressing the ever-flowing sewerage problem.
