A Chipinge man, allegedly killed his wife after discovering that she was taking some birth-control pills without his knowledge.
Tje 29-year-old Felix Maphosa killed his wife,47 after hitting her with an iron bar.
He further hit a nail into the now-deceased’s chest with a hammer.
He was arrested and brought before Chipinge Magistrates’ Court facing charges of murder.
The accused was remanded in custody to January 17, before he was advised to apply for bail at the High Court.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPA) confirmed the allegations that, on December 31, last year, a domestic dispute arose between the accused person and his now-deceased wife after he discovered birth control pills that were being taken by the now-deceased without his knowledge.
Further allegations are that a dispute escalated and Felix struck the now-deceased on the head thrice with an iron bar.
He went on to hit a nail into the now-deceased chest with a hammer.
The accused person went to a beer hall, returned on the following morning, and found her dead.
