Poet and spoken word artist Shaznay Megan Wood, known as Thee Ammartian in the showbiz world is set to launch her debut EP Listening Session tomorrow.
The session will be held at Ela The Garden, Newlands at 4 pm.
She shares her inspiration for the event.
“My very first EP, titled MEGAMIND, is a mix of poetry and music.
“This masterpiece is inspired by life’s realities and my personal experiences,” said Thee Ammartian.
She highlighted what attendees can expect from the event.
“It will be a wholesome evening of thought-provoking poetry and a good time.
“We have a special lineup of poets and musicians like Mambo Guramatunhu, Kuda Rice, Tanaka Ects Chuma, Denzel Soka with an acoustic set, and DJ Ezjones to spin the wheels,” she added.
Thee Ammartian noted how her work reflects her personal experiences and emotions.
“Not all my pieces come from personal experiences; most reflect what happens around me in the environment I grew up in,” she explained.
Mambo Guramatunhu, a Nama Award Winner and the MC for the EP listening session shared his excitement about the event.
“What an honor to host Thee Ammartian’s debut EP, MEGAMIND! As the MC, I promise to bring my charisma, wit, and poetic flair to the stage,” said Mambo Guramatunhu
