PLUMTREE- A Plumtree herd boy reportedly killed his employer after an altercation over his wages.
Mkholeli Ndlovu (24) was brought before Beitbridge Magistrates’ Court facing a charge of murder.
The State alleges that on November, 13 last year, at around 9 pm at Chadeda village Mkhokeli, killed the now deceased’s Teboka Sebata (58).
He killed the now-deceased following a dispute over his outstanding wages.
When he asked for his wages the now deceased told him that she could not pay him at that moment as she had no money.
He got angry, took an axe, and struck her on the head and neck several times.
He took her kitchen utensils and cell phone before leaving the scene.
The now-deceased later died from the extensive head and neck injuries inflicted by the accused.
The accused person fled soon after killing the now-deceased and was on the run until May,20.
He was arrested in Kwekwe where the Police located him after tracking the now deceased’s cell phone.
The accused person was remanded in custody on the 7th of June 2024.
