Dendera singer Tryson Chimbetu is set to light up the Dzivaresekwa mini-independence gala on Thursday.
The singer who has recovered from the effects of drugs, will be the main attraction at the event organised by TEAM FLAG.
The aim is to incorporate youths in different projects to keep them busy.
it is running under the theme, of anti-drug and substance abuse, early marriages, and Gender-Based Violence campaigns.
An official confirmed the event:
“The gala will be at Padziva Caravan Park and all youths are invited to come and have a good time on Thursday.
“We have lined up different upcoming artists led by Tryson Chimbetu.
“We are incorporating anti-drug and substance abuse, early marriages and Gender-Based Violence campaign.”
“The event starts at 10 am till late.
“The vision is to encompass young people into the 2030 vision.
“We need to involve them in different activities as a way to fight these challenges.
“Culture Love was also billed to perform at the event but later on changed,” added the organizer.
Member of Parliament for the constituency, Lovemore Chamatowa, and Councilor Anna Sibanda among other senior officials have endorsed.
“A government official from the Ministry of Youths will be the guest of honor.
“We have also incorporated some companies including Kambucha, Delta, Tembeya, Chicken Slice, Pacific, Bakers Inn, and many more.
“We also have some partners like Joy Centre, and Gono Enterprises who have thrown their weight behind us.”
