Blessing Matinyarare
Some portions of the Harare-Chirundu road have been temporarily closed to pave the way for rehabilitation.
In a statement, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development in conjunction with Fossil Contracting advised the general public on certain roads that will be periodically closed to traffic.
“It is hereby, notified that the Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, in terms of Section 30(4) of Roads Act [Chapter 13:18], intends to temporarily close the portions of Harare-Chirundu Road for rehabilitation work to take place.”
Some of the Roads that are included in the description of the roadmap for the works are Julius Nyerere.
Sam Munjoma ( formerly 2nd Street), Nemakonde Way ( Formerly Lomagundi) and Chirundu Road.
The Ministry also went ahead in notifying the general public that during the execution of their project, traffic shall be diverted to alternative routes and they shall be communicated to the public through road traffic signage.
