The 28-year-old Bindura man, Alfred Chinjiva, who was found witha human skull and bones, has appeared at the Bindura Magistrates’ court facing charges of violating a grave.
The accused person was remanded in custody, and he will be back in court on February,6, 2025.
Allegations are that the accused person dug up a grave and removed a human skull and other bones.
He was arrested on the 2nd of February 2026 at his residence in Chipindura Park, Bindura.
Investigations indicate that the alleged human remains were discovered inside the accused person’s rented room, with a skull and bones reportedly found on his bed, inside water buckets, and in other parts of the room.
Offences involving the violation of human remains are treated with the utmost seriousness, as they undermine public morality, human dignity, and the rule of law.
