Foreign journalists, independent authors, bloggers, and media professionals have been invited to submit their work for the Honest View International Media Award 2026.
The annual award ceremony is organized by Russia’s federal agency Rossotrudnichestvo.
The applicants have up to October 4, 2026, to submit their work.
The award is open to foreign journalists and authors aged 18 and above who cover Russia, its society, culture and international cooperation. Representatives of foreign media organizations working in Russia are also eligible to participate.
In a statement, the organisation said the award ceremony is open to foreign journalists, media authors, and bloggers who live outside Russia and create professional content about Russia — its culture, economy, social initiatives, traditions, and people.
“We would be very pleased to see Zimbabwean journalists, media authors, and bloggers among this year’s participants.
“Applications are open until October 4, 2026.
“The Award includes six categories covering journalism, culture, economic and social cooperation, and digital media.
“The New Voice category is open to young journalists aged 18-25.
“Thanks in advance for your support! We hope that Zimbabwean journalists and media authors will take part in this year’s Award,” said the statement.
The awards are organised by Rossotrudnichestvo.
“The Award recognizes the best work by foreign journalists, media outlets, authors and bloggers about Russia.”
In 2026, the competition features six categories:
- Grand Prix «For Contribution to Objective Coverage of Russia»
- «Best Material on Economic and Social Partnership»
- «Culture and Traditions: A View from Abroad»
- «Professional View: Genre Journalism»
- «New Voice: Best Work by a Young Journalist»
- «Digital Recognition: Best Project about Russia on Social Media»
“Over the past five years, interest in the Award has grown significantly.
“In 2022, 118 journalists from 28 countries took part in the competition, while in
2025, 821 applications were submitted from 75 countries.
“The winners have included journalists and bloggers from Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East
and Latin America.
“The 2026 Award finalists and winners will be invited to Moscow in November.
“A media school and an awards ceremony will be held for them.
“In September, a press conference dedicated to the call for entries for the anniversary edition of the Award was held at Russia Today.”
Foreign journalists, authors and bloggers interested in participating can submit their work through the official Honest View website before the October 4 deadline.
