Zimbabwean gospel musician Everton Mlalazi is celebrating a momentous milestone: the attainment of his third master’s degree.
Known for making waves in the music industry, Minister Mlalazi is now proving that his excellence extends beyond the stage—into the classroom as well.

As a gospel minister and award-winning artist, Minister Mlalazi has built a reputation for worship that speaks to hearts and songs that carry messages of faith, hope, and devotion.

His musical journey has seen him earn recognition both locally and regionally, reinforcing his growing influence as a servant of God through music.

But while the public knows him for his powerful ministry, many may not fully appreciate the discipline and determination behind the scenes.

For Mlalazi, the latest academic achievement is not a sudden breakthrough, it is the result of consistent effort and a steadfast commitment to personal growth.
Earning a third master’s degree highlights his belief that excellence in worship should also reflect excellence in character, learning, and purpose.
In many ways, it also shows that faith and education can move together, strengthening both the message and the messenger.
Speaking on the achievement, the gospel artist expressed gratitude for God’s grace and guidance throughout the academic journey.
His continuous pursuit of higher learning demonstrates that he views education as another platform to serve—equipping himself with knowledge and skills that will support his long-term vision.
Just as his music ministry is guided by a calling, his academic ambitions also reflect purpose.
Posting on his Facebook Page, Minister Mlalazi said, with the grace of God, he is celebrating another important milestone in his academic journey.
“I have attained my third Master’s Degree, a Master of Philosophy in Evidence Management from Gordon Institute of Business Science.
“This comes after completing:
“An MBA with the University of Gloucestershire, and a Master of Arts in Development Studies from Midlands State University.
“By God’s grace, this is another step towards pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA).
“I am also deeply humbled and grateful to have already been awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Music, a recognition that continually reminds me that my music ministry is a calling to serve God and His people.
“With all these God-given achievements, I remain committed to serving the Lord through worship and music ministry for as long as I live.
“Every platform and every opportunity I receive will always be used to glorify Him.
“To my incredible support system that includes my loving wife, family, and friends, thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and unwavering support throughout this journey.
“To whom much is given, much will be required.” — Luke 12:48.”
As he celebrates this new chapter, Minister Mlalazi remains focused on the bigger picture, using every opportunity—whether in music or academia—to glorify God.
With his talent and academic progress continuing to rise, the gospel musician is not only entertaining and uplifting communities through worship but also inspiring young people to aim higher and pursue purpose in every field they choose.
For Everton Mlalazi, the future looks bright—because for him, both the hymn and the homework come with dedication, prayer, and a promise to keep serving.
