Soccer players Abas Amidu and Rueben Kudzai Mhlanga have been arrested for trafficking dagga worth US$75000.
Police confirmed that Abas (29) real name Tumai Matsika, and Mlhanga (41) were found with dagga.
“The ZRP confirms the arrest of the suspects for drug trafficking.
“The two were found in possession of 750kg of dagga valued at US$75 000 in a silver Honda Shuttle vehicle, registration number AGP 6776, along Kwekwe – Kadoma Highway on October 3.”
Meanwhile, the ZRP arrested Prosper Mphofu (48) at Trabablas Interchange after receiving a parcel containing 60kg of dagga worth USD6 000-00 from a certain vehicle.
